Placement first. Calibration second. Kit third.

A £3,000 speaker in the wrong place loses to a £600 speaker in the right one. We start from the seating position and work outwards: speaker angles to layout specification, multiple subwoofers positioned to smooth the room’s bass modes, and first-reflection points treated where it counts.

Then we measure. Dirac Live calibration on Denon and Marantz platforms, level and delay set per seat, and a verification sweep you can hear the difference in. The last step is integration — one remote or keypad press for “Film”, and the room does the rest.

AV — FAQAsked before most projects

Projector or a very large TV?

Depends on the room’s light and the seating distance. Fully light-controlled rooms at three metres or more favour projection; bright multi-use rooms usually favour a large panel. We’ll measure and show you the trade-offs in numbers before you spend anything.

Can a cinema go in a normal lounge?

Yes — that’s a media room, and it’s most of what we build. In-wall speakers, hidden equipment and a system that vanishes when it’s off. The acoustics won’t match a dedicated, treated room, but done properly it embarrasses most soundbars by an absurd margin.

Why four subwoofers instead of one big one?

Rooms create peaks and dead spots in bass depending on where you sit. Multiple smaller subwoofers placed correctly even those out, so every seat hears the same thing. It’s physics, not sales — and it’s why we model the room before quoting.

Gladly. We’ll audit what you own, tell you plainly what’s worth keeping, and design around it. Reusing a good amplifier or speakers you love is engineering; replacing everything regardless is invoicing.
